Scones for Royal Occasions
Everybody is jumping on the royal wedding bandwagon. I haven’t paid too much attention to it, but believe me, when I say I think it’s lovely and charming when two people from polar opposite backgrounds, find each other, fall in love, and decide to spend their lives together, and wedding or not, it is something to celebrate. Since it IS a royal occasion, a little something special to nibble on through all the hours of excitement and glamour, seems appropriate. Yes? So let me share with you a recipe that I’ve made for years. It’s one I’ve shared on the recipe page, and since sharing is caring, I’m sharing once again.
I call these Pie Cottage Scones (recipe link here), but for this occasion I think they should be called Royal Scones, Wedding Scones, or Let’s Get Dressed Up in Fancy Hats with Pinkies Up While Drinking Tea Scones. How’s that for a recipe name? I hope you like them, and they can be made gluten free OR gluten full (with AP flour).
Will I be watching the royal to-do? You bet I will! I have my outfit and hat all picked out.
Many blessings for a long life together full of love, patience, kindness, and generosity to all Harry and Meghan!

Pie Cottage Scones will be featured in Home Cooking by Kate McDermott to be released October 2018.
